My Sister's Machine was formed in 1989 in Seattle, Washington, prior to the grunge explosion of the early 90's.  In 1990, My Sister's Machine received the "Best New Band" award from the Northwest Music Association.
In 1991, they received alot of interest from major record labels, but they chose to sign with a smaller label, Caroline Records, who could spend more time and effort promoting them.
In 1992, they released their debut album, 'Diva', to much critical acclaim.  The video for 'I'm Sorry' was played weekly on the Headbanger's Ball for weeks and the band toured with The Smashing Pumpkins and Pantera.
In 1993, they moved to Chameleon, a division of Elektra Entertainment and released 'Wallflower'.  They toured the United States with King's X in support of this album.  Just a couple of months after the release of 'Wallflower', Elektra Entertainment folded the Chameleon division, dropping all bands that were signed, leaving the album and band unpromoted.  After a string of bad luck, they split up in 1994.
My Sister's Machine was one of the better bands that came out of Seattle during the 'grunge era'.  Their sound was similar to Alice In Chains and this is due in large part because singer Nick Pollock played guitar in Alice In Chains in the '80's.  Their second album, 'Wallflower', was heavier than their debut, 'Diva' and was very thrash-like at times.  While doing research for this description, I saw a post on their Facebook page that said the guys are jamming again.  Hopefully, a reunion looms in the horizon.

Nick Pollock - vocals
Owen Wright - guitar
Chris Ivanovich - bass
Chris Gohde - drums
