Kreator - 2012 - Terror Prevails (Live At Rock Hard Festival)
Kreator is a German Thrash Metal band formed in 1982 initially as the Tyrant and then Tormentor. In 1984, the original trio adopted the name Kreator. Like bands like Sodom, Destruction and Tankard, Kreator is considered a pioneer of German Thrash Metal. It is also one of the groups giving the genre a more extreme in the future.
Then known under the name Tormentor in the early 1980s, the group was soon noticed by his musical violence. Led by furious Miland "Mille" Petrozza, the group will experience its first heyday in the years from 85 to 90 with his first album, Endless Pain, where the vocals are then shared between Mille Petrozza and Ventor (who left the lead vocals after Pleasure to Kill). This album will be assigned four successors, all composed of real Thrash Metal hymns of both violent and melodic. In early 1990, Kreator will lose its popularity against the craze for groups of Death Metal, Thrash Metal's direct heirs. On the following albums, the group will then try a few experiments flirting with the gothic and industrial, but with little commercial success. It was not until 2001 to see the band returning to the front of the stage with the Thrash Metal album Violent Revolution. The first track on the album, entitled Reconquering the Throne (literally: Reclaiming the throne) is rather symbolic of the desire to Kreator to rekindle the flame of yesteryear. Following the success of Violent Revolution, the group released a live DVD tracing the international tour to promote the album. In 2005, the release of the album Enemy Of God Kreator definitely makes its leadership of Thrash Metal. In early 2009 after a quick run to the studio released the album Kreator Hordes Of Chaos.
On the influence Kafkaesque Mille Petrozza composed music that just exudes boundless and whose texts describe the annihilation of being, the riffs and solo are the ones of extreme power.[/img]
